In recent years the problem of “skin ulcers” (venous, arterial, diabetic, pressure ulcers) has assumed increasing importance, especially as a function of the progressive increase in the population in old age and therefore the prevalence of chronic-disabling diseases. Skin ulcers represent a real clinical-care problem of growing importance, often disabling and difficult to approach. The Italian Association of Skin Ulcers, making use of the work of prestigious experts in the field, wants to be a meeting place and national reference for all those who daily engage and face the difficult problem of skin ulcers. It wants to be an important moment of verification and wants to allow a development of knowledge, in terms of research, pathophysiology, diagnostics and therapy of skin ulcers.
